IOC 14c A jury in district court at Glen wood has decided that the death of Charles Dykes, former Plattsmouth man, last March, was the result of a traffic accident that he suffered a few days before his death. The jury awarded to Mrs. Thelma Dykes, widow, the full amount of the $300 policy carried by the de ceased in the Washington National Life Insurance company, together with interest. The insurance company contended that the death was not the result of the accident. According to the testi mony Mr. Dykes had stopped his truck on the highway and was tinker ing with it when the brakes failed to hold and the truck started down a hill. He jumped in the truck and it later crashed against a stump. Two days later Mr. Dykes suffered a heart attack and died. The plaintiff al leged that death was due to the shock he suffered in the accident.
