Clothing company, were here Sunday
as guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
C. C. Wescott.
Robert Hall, who is attending the
state university, was here Sunday to
spend the day with his parents and
visit with his mother prior to her de
parture for California. He returned
to his school work today.

won Tuesday evening from the Bow

Russell Wilson, apprentice seaman,
U. S. Navy is home cn seventeen days
furlough, visiting his parents and
friends.
Wilson just completed three months
strenuous military training at the
naval training station, San Diego.
California, and upon his return will
be transferred to sea for duty. Wil-
iBon Btated that he has requested to
be assigned to the aircraft tender
U. S. S. Wright, a ship based at San
Diego. -
While attending the apple festival
at Nebraska City, Wilson visited the
navy recruiting officer in that city
and stated that he is well satisfied
in the navy and that he intends to
take advantage of the opportunities
that the navy has to offer for ad
vancement. Wilson enlisted in Omaha July 5th
and was sent to San Diego for his
training. While at the training sta
tion Wilson was company yeoman
and did the clerical work for his
company.
While visiting here Wilson is stay-
I ing at the home of his parents, Mr.

outing from his duties.

the Peru Normal Reserves 7-0 at
Tarkio Friday afternoon. Falks plays

tackle. The Tarkio "B" team plays
a return game at Peru Oct. 22 and
will meet the Omaha University
freshmen early in November.
