QUAKES OATS BOOSTING
WINTE2 HEALTH FOODS
II. J. Uosking, representative of
the Quaker Oats company in this
territory, has been in Flattsmouth
the past couple of days arranging
Quaker Oats displays in the differ
ent food stores of the city.
The new Quaker displays are very
attractive and are devoted to enlight
ening the public on winter health
foods. Vitamins A, IJ, C, D and G
are pictured on the charts, along
with pictures of the foods contain
ing the respective vitamins. For in
stance there is vitamin A which
provides resistance to colds and is
found in fresh vegetables; vitamin
IJ to brace up the nerves, digestion
and appetite, found in Quaker Oats;
vitamin C to combat infection and
low body resistance, oranges and
tomatoes; vitamin D to build strong
teeth and bones, found in irradiat
ed foods; and vitamin G so neces
sary to children's growth, found in
fresh milk and dairy products.
Grocers are featuring these vitamin-rich
foods in their ads just now,
as part of the educational campaign
to get people using the proper win
ter health foods and fresh veget
ables of all kinds, oranges and to
luatoes. fresh milk, cottage cheese,
and catmeal will be found in the
stock of nearly every Plattsmouth
fctore.
Securing the proper vitamin nu
trition is important to young and
old alike, and a more healthy popu
lace should result from this educa
tional campaign being sponsored by
the Quaker Oats company.
