Ost of south of Nehawka j was looking after some business in Murray for a few hours Monday ofj this week. j Mrs. Herman Richter who was taken to the hospital last week is reported as much better and soon will return home. Bud Young: of Plattsmouth was looking after some business for the Ruse Motor company in Murray Mon-jwill day of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Herman F. Comer of near Union was looking after some business in Plattsmouth and Murray Monday afternoon. Earl Terhune and family were visiting for the day last Sunday at the home of the folks of Mrs. Ter hune at Humboldt. Mesdames E. S. Tutt and O. A. Davis were visiting with friends and ooking after some business in Omaha Monday of this week. Guy "Wiles of near Plattsmouth was a visitor in Murray on Wednes day of this week and was looking after some business at the lumber yard. Mrs. J. J. Lohnes who is staying with her daughter, Mrs. Luther Wa mack has been very poorly and has been cared for by the family physi cian. Bert Jamison while on his way to Weeping Water from his home in Omaha stopped in Murray to look after some business last Wednesday morning. Delbert Switzer and son Clyde of Nehawka were in Murray on last Tuesday, where they secured a truck load of bridge plank to be taken to the neighborhood of Xehawka for load use. Ern Carroll and family of Omaha have been visiting in Murray with Mr. Carroll's mother, who has been in rather poor health for some time. She is however reported as being some better at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Xewton of Plattsmouth with their little son came via Murray last Sunday and took Mrs. Vesta Clarke to Union where they all visited for the day, returning home in the evening. Visited Old Time Friend. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Tutt were over to Plattsmouth Sunday, guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Patter son where they visited with Mrs. Grace Miller, a guest at the Patter son home. Mrs. Miller, widow of the late Wm. Miller, was formerly Miss Grace Bennett, they having left Plattsmouth a number of years ago to make their home in the west. Spending Some Time in West. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hiid who have been farming west of Mynard on the farm of his father, Fred L. Hild, de parted for the Tacific coast last week and will spend some time in the warmer climate. During the time Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Hild, parents of Henry are making their home on the farm where they are caring for the stock. Busy with Quilting. On Tuesday of this week the ladies of the Presbyterian church were meet ing with Mrs. C. D. Spangler where they were quilting a quilt for Mrs. Clarence D. Geary. Celebrated 74th Birthday. Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Tyson were over to Elmwood last Sunday where they went to assist the doctor's fath er. L. A. Tyson celebrate his 7 4th birthday anniversary. Farewell Party. On Friday of last week a group of neighbors went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Read and family to bid them farewell with a party, as the Read family will be leaving that community in which they now live about the first of next month. The evening was spent in games and visit- Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Albin and son and Miss Margaret Moore. Entertain Sunday Evening. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mrasek enter- Mrasek, and Herman Richter. The editor and reporters of the "Murray Review" gave avery splen did hobby exhibit at the home of P.everly Ann Brubacher on Friday afternoon. to which their motherr iderful collections of articles in their I various hobbies, and will cotinue to 'add to them. Hobbies exhibited were i stamps, dolls, snapshots, scrapbooks. pupils of the primary and elimentary grades and was largely attended and greatly enjoyed. Much credit is due Misses Davi3 and Long for the labor expended in training the young folks who acted their parts very well and who, tho young in years, seemed quite at home on the stage, and sang their parts with ease. The car was claimed to be the property of Fred Bork. of Omaha, who' had the car registered in this county: under his wife's name. MOVING TO HAVELOCK Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Tincher and family are moving to Havelock where Mr. Tincher will enter the employ of the Burlington at their shops in that city. The many friends will regret to see this estimable family leave the city as they have been very active in the community since locating here. ARRIVES FROM WASHINGTON Mrs. R. L. Gracy of Washington, D. C, arrived Sunday for a two-week visit at the home of her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Edgerton, also with er sister, Mrs. Ruby Lester. Mrs. Grady is employed in U. S. patent office.
