A nation-wide survey reveals that 100 colleges and universities have ehangcKl coaches this year. Most of the changes in coaching- personnel are in smaller colleges, but several of the larger schools have rev.' ap pointees. The University of Wisconsin, in th doldrums for some time, has ousted Dr. Clarence W. Spears and put in one of the immortal Four Horsemen, Harry Sthuldreher , for seven years a successful coach at Villanova. Spears hooded up with the University of Toledo. Tulane Has New Coach.' Cornell, goir.g through, a bad season, has changed coaches, the veteran Gil Dobie being replaced by Carl Snavely, mentor of the North Carolina team. Dobie now is at Boston college.
