Claims to Meet
Election Cost
Complete Resume of Business Trans
acted by County Commissioners
at Their May Meetings.
An unusual long list of claim bills
was allowed by the County Commis
sioners at their May meetings, in-.
chiding the cost of the 1936 primary
election.
At their meeting of May 5th, the
board approved withdrawal of cer
tain securities posted as collateral for
county deposits by the Farmers State
Bank, of Avoca, and substitution of
other securities in a like amount.
The claim of II. J. Livingston and
others for shoveling snow and open
ing up roads in Center precinct in
February was disallowed by the
board.
Claim of C. D. Spangler for re
fund of $75.39 taxes paid under pro
test on land allegedly in Murray
school district, was disallowed.
Orders by County Judge renewing
the Mother's Tension of Mrs. Mary
Lancaster and Thelma Nichols were
approved.
E. W. Richards filed an "Affidavit
cf Isolation" with the board making
application for a right of way to pro
vide p.'"y-voaiul from his property

Board approved granting deed to
Sub Lot 2 of Lot 5, Forter Place, ac
quired by county at tax foreclosure
rale, to Joseph Adam, conditional on

Everett Pickens signed a. contract
to remove all rock and debris from
the Missouri river road along the
Gardner stone quarry for the sura of
200.
Appointment and official bond of
C. R. Ackles as constable in Louis
ville precinct approved by the board.
The claim of the Lutheran hos
pital of Norfolk for $17.C5 for hos
pital expense on Devoe Rogers was
disallowed by the board.
