RECOVERING FROM OPERATION
Miss Anna Hofacker, of near Cedar
Creek, was operated on Wednesday
at the St. Catherine's hospital at Om
aha, this being a very serious oper
ation. The patient however, has
showed favorable reaction to the se
vere ordeal and is now reported as
doing Just as well as possible under
the circumstances. The many friends
are trusting that she may soon be
able to regain her health and to re
turn home.
W. E. Rikli of near Ashland, was
in the city Saturday and while here
was a pleasant caller at the Journal
to renew his subscription to the
semi-weekly edition of the paper.
