The Tobin Quarries, Ne hawka, sub-contractors, will pay the truckers' code hauling charges, pend ing adjustment by the NRA truckers code authority, the Kansas City Bridge company, holders of the gen eral contract, and the sub-contractor. The work was halted Saturday pending the conference. "A misunderstanding was largely to blanvc. Our office ruled at first that the job came under the quarry code. On that understanding the Tobin firm has been paying truck ers on the quarry code. It now ap pears that the truckers code ap plies," Captain Young said. CORN OF GOOD QUALITY Chicago. Corn exhibited at the international grain and hay show this year equals that of last year, three of the judges, who have spent hours digging kernels out of ears, said. "The drouth affected the number of entries rather than the quality," R. D. Lewis of Columus, O., a mem ber of the Ohio State university fac ulty, said.
