that Nebraska's Quota in the second
enlistment for civilian conservation
corps work is 662. Enrollment will
! begin Oct. 2.
Allotments, he Bald, have been
made in each county on the basis of
previous allotments together with re
lif needs. Lancaster county's quota
is forty-eight and Douglas county is
114. Enrollment will be handled by
present county emergency county
committees where they exist, other
wise by committees named by Biart.
The youths chosen must be from
IS to 25 years old and must be "good,
clean and decent," Biart said. Some
preference will.be given forUoy Scout,
training. The boys, he added, must
come from families who need the
money badly, 'altho they need not be
on relief rolls. The recruits wil.l .be
expected to send home f 25 of their
$30 monthly earnings. "

A delegation of the members of
the Plattsmouth Woman's club de
parted to attend the county feder
ation convention which is meeting at
Wesping Water today. The conven
tion opened at 9:30 and will cover
an all day meeting with a luncheon
at noon. Among those attending are
Mrs. James T. Begley, past county
president, Mrs. Robert Reed, presi
dent, Mrs. -E. H. Wescott; secretary,
as well as Mrs. Herman Thomas, Mrs.
Phillip Hirz, Mrs. John E. Wolff, Mrs.
L. S. Devoe and Mrs. Joe E. Wiles.
ATTENDING; CONVENTION

Dr. and Mrs. O. C. Hudson depart
ed thi morning for Omaha where
they will attend the four day session
of the Nebraska Stato Osteopathic as
sociation that is meeting there1 this
week. Dr. Hudson is on the clinic
