tem. The talk was from Newcastle,
England, and" was given by Rev.
Ralph Wainworth, of the Friends
church. A number here heard the
program and among these was Mrs.
M. S. Brigg3, a member of the Friends
faith.

HOLD PLEASANT MEETING
The W. C. T. t7. held a most pleas
ing meeting on Monday afternoon at
the home of Miss Elizabeth Spengler
with a pleasing number of tbe ladies
in attendance.
The. devotons of the-meeting were
fed by Mrs, Charles Troop and fol
lowed by the regular business session

Mrs. Luke V. Wiles and Mrs. J. E.
Wiles gave a . most clever dialogue,
"Pro-Saloon or Prohibition," which
was well presented and much enjoy
ed. , .; . .
Mrs Robert Troop gave two charm
ing readings, ."Just a Plain Nebraa
kan" and "The Test" which were
given in the usual clever, manner of
this talented lady. - v
; Little Miss Elizabeth Ann Wiles
gave two pleating readings and Miss
Mary Kathryn Wiles two planoccoty
dlan solos that added greatly to the
interest of the meeting. '
Mrs. S. A. Wiles gave a paper. "In?
stltutes," which" took up the meetings
held to advance the'iwork Of the tem
perance organisations..
Miss Spangler served .dainty and
delicious refreshments af the close of
the meeting.
