slipped down bill and injured him.

Father Very Sick.
Word was ree-ived of th- very
-serious illness of W. C. Rav of Beth-

Mo., father of George Rav. and

of the people of Murray. Mr. and
Mrs. George Ray departed s soon an
they received the news of his illness,
and arrived at his bedside as soon
as possible to render what service
they could to the aged invalid, he

they visited for a time with Thomas
McManus and wife, and following

other brother. J. P. McManus, and
on their way picked up Miss Lois,

The Murray Study club met at the
home of Miss IJeulah Sans Thusday
December lfth with 4 0 members and
two visitors present. The meeting
was called to order and the roll call
answered by Christmas verses and
stories and legends, after which the
usual business was attended to.
The leader, Mrs. Gilmore, changed
the subject of the meeting to a
Christmas lesson. The lovely story
cf Christmas was given by her fol
lowed by a story of the carols by
Mrs. Boedeker, the singing of them
and two numbers by the club quar-te-tte,
Mrs. Will Seybolt. Mrs. Dick
Pitman, Mrs. Milbern and Mrs. IJoe
deker. Mrs. Stewart gave a book review
of -Faith of the Little Shepherd."
Mrs. Van tine read an article on
Christmas legends that was very
good.
A very interesting; debate was
given by Mrs. Spangler and Mrs.
Ferris on ihe quest ion. Resolve-d:
"It is right to teach the Santa Claus
myth." By applause the victory was
given the affirmative.
Mrs. Todd led in a short Parlia
me nty drill.
A lively dinner was served by the
