Vaclav Mickluskey the blockflmith was a visitor in Omaha for over the week end, and returned to his work here on Monday. Dr. J. F. Brendel was called to near Union to look after some sick ness for two days during the latter portion of last week. A. J. Ross of near Nehawka was a business visitor in Murray on last Monday and was also visiting with his many friends here. Miss Clara Ralney was spending the week end at her home in Platts mouth returning early Monday to take up her school work. . C. M. Reed who has gotten a por tion of his corn picked was on last Monday building a fence so he could pasture the stocks from which has been picked. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Davis and E. S. Tutt were visiting and looking after some .. business, matters in Plattsmouth for a short time on last Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. J. W. Thompson and daugh ter. Ina, were visiting at Auburn they departing for that place on last Tuesday morning where they are still visiting with relatives. Albert Wolfe was a visitor at his home in Nehawka for the week end, and with the wife and daughter were visiting in Omaha on Sunday as well as attending a show there. Louis Shumaker of near Nehawka was a visitor in Murray for a short time op last Monday inorning while on his way to Plattsmouth to loon p.fctr some business matters. Ed Gansemer from west of town was in the city on last Monday for the first time with the Farmer's Oil Company truck, and was looking af ter some business for the company. W. O. Carl A. . Price, representing the Eagle Oil Co., was in Weeping Wa ter, on last Tuesday bringing a load of gas over for the L. R. Lane fill ing station, and also looking after some business matters. A. R. Dowler, salesman for the Philpot Chevrolet company was a business visitor in Avoca for a short time on last Tuesday morning and during the afternoon was looking after some business matters in Ne hawka. Floyd M. Cole, who is a good farm er and also a good road man, was putting in his time on the roads, getting them in condition for winter and was caught with some thirty acres of corn still in the field, when the snow came and is now waiting for the show to go so he can get at the corn. . . Ernest Boyle and wife of Omaha, who are relatives of Frank H. Bald win, were visiting for the evening on last Monday and departed early Tues day for Chicago where they will en gage in the management of an oil station for the Sinclair Oil company. There were guests with with Mr. Baldwin and daughter, Miss Frances, while here. Rasmus Lauritzen, Jr., who has been so severely ill with an attack of typhoid fever the past month or more, -was reported as being some Improved during the first of the week.
