The testing of the cattle in Mt.
Pleasant precinct has begun and the
starting point has been the southeast
corner of the precinct and in charge
of Dr. G. L. Taylor.

I'rcle John W. Edmunds, who has
been sick at the home of his daugh
ter, Mrs. Wm. Sporrer, for some
weeks past, is reported at this time
to be improving and is much better
than he has been for some time and
the hope exists that he will be able
to be out in a short time. His many
friends will be pleased to know of
his improvement.

Lose Their Little Son
From an attack of menengiti3. Mr.
arc! Mrs. L. C. Horchor. living north
east of Murray, last Thursday after-
son. Everything possible for thej
( care or boy, both in nursing and
m'ucai treatment, was aone. but the
little one grew weak on account of
the ravages of the disease and final
rv succumbed to the dread malady.
The little one was getting to that
age when children are most interest
ing and his death is a very sad blow
to the parents and others of the fam

Mrs. B. F. Brendel, who has been
quite ill at her home in Murray fcr

ikept to her bed and has a nurse in

Henry C. Long was down town
last Tuesday after having been kept
at the house for a number of week3
and was also out to the farm for a
drive and says he is feeling much
