time. The lack left a severe injury
on th.e forehead of Mr. Perry and he

At the hospital an operation was
performed Friday morning and three
pieces of bone removed from the
fractured skull, but apparently the
brain hud not been affected by the
terrific blow of the horse, as Mr.

tion was- quite severe and required

The attending surgeons were of
the opinion that Mr. Perry would be
able to recover from the injury, but

result of the effect of the blow from
the horse, the muscles of the eye be
ing very badly torn.
Another brother. Charleys Perry, of
Lincoln, was also called to hir. side.

is a party against the school district.
The matter was tried in the U. B.
district court and the school district

srhool district secured a victory and

j furnace eompanv on account of a de
fective heating system. The company
appealed to the higher court.

known resident of near Murray,
writes to friends here that he is still
located on a farm near Calgary, Can

health as is his family. Mr. Stokes
states that he likes Canada fine but
misses the Journal very much and ex
pets to have it come to him the com
ing years and has made a New Year's
resolution that he will order the pa
per, incidentally. Mr. Stokes state:

j Mrs. Nicholas Halmes Saturday af

'her home on North Fourth street and

resulted in the fracture of one of her
