UNQUENTTAXES OF CASS COUNTY
Notice Is hereby civen that I. Mike
Trltseh. Treasurer of Cass county, in
the State of Nebraska, will on the lirst
.Mondav, beinK the 7th day f Novem
ber. 1921 as required by law, com
mence se'.lint? at the office of tlie
f'ountv Treasurer of said county, in
the City of l'lattsmouth. at public auc
tion, so much of the following 'tracts
of lands and town lots as shall be
necessary to av the taxes, together
Willi Interest and costs that may have
accrued thereon that day, beinjr the
delinquent taxes for the year 1920 and
prior years, as appears from the tax
lists for suit! years.
Said sale will be held between the
hours of nine o'clock a. m., and four
o'rlock p. m.. of said. date, and will
continue from day to day between
paid hours until all of said property
upon which delinquent taxes remain
unpaid, shall be sold or offered for
sale.

hundred applicants for the honor of
conveying the British Wreath to
America, .to be placed on the tomb of
the unknown soldier-hero on Armis
tice day, the Pilgrim Mothers asso
ciation has chosen the mother of
Major McCudden, V. C. the British
"ace."
From the hundreds of applicants,
the choice had been narrowed down
to eight mothers, each of whom had
lost three sons in the war.
Before his death. Major McCudden
had destroyed fifty-seven airplanes.

of three candidates were certified to
the postoffice department today by
the civil service commission as eli
gible for the Omaha postmastership.
They are, in order of their ranking,
William G. Ure, long identified with
the municipal government and de
feated last spring for re-election to
the city commission; Charles E.
Black, a prominent Omaha merchant
and member of the board of gover
nors of Ak-Sar-Ben; Herbert S. Dan
