Study The
Men Who Succeed!
Look around you and pick out the suc
cessful men of your community.
Nine times out of ten, you will find
them citizens who have kept eternally at
work regardless of crop failures or finan
cial depressions. These men have gone
through much more trying times than the
present.
Compare the troubles of the 90's with
our troubles now. Ask the pioneer about
the 70's and you will find that our
troubles now are only mole hills compared
to the. mountains of those days.
The men who work and save and keep
their courage will be the well-to-do men
of tomorrow.

Held Picnic at Lincoln.
Relatives, friends and neighbors
of Messrs and Mesdames D. Lynn
and John Lidgett, gathered at Lin
ndii last Sunday. to the number of
nearly two score, for a general good
time. Although the weather had
been threatening for several days, it
was decided to brave the elements,
and accordingly an early start was
made, the objective Capital Beach
being reached long before the sun
had reached its meridian height.
Among those present were a number
from Geneva. 0 miles away.
When the noon hour called them
to refreshment, the members of the
party sat down to a splendid picnic
lunch, full justice being done by all
to the many good things provided.
Luncheon over," attention was turn
ed to the amusement devices, some
going in bathing, others riding the
roller coaster, the aeroplane dips and
the like of that.
I Hiring the afternoon new arrivals
at the park gave information of
heavy rains from Union west to Lin
coln and told of the bad condition
of the roads. An early return to
Union was accordingly decided upon
and before leaving the outskirts of
Lincoln every car was fitted with
chains. Mrs. John Lidgett took the
lead and although the going was
pretty rough, she steered her car
with great skill.
After plowing the mud for a con
siderable time the entire party stop
ped at the home of Mr. and Airs. A.
A. Johnson, twelve miles west of
Union, where supper was thorough
ly enjoyed on the lawn. Everybody
reached home before dark and with
out mishap, having spent one of the
most enjoyable picnic days imagin
able (for what's a picnic without a
bit of disappointment?) on this oc
cassion arranged by the Lidgetts and
Lynns in honor of Mr. and Mrs. E.
A. Rider, of Chicago, who are spend
ing their vacation at the Lidgett
home.
DO YOU WANT TO
FEEL COMFORTABLE?
R. D. STB WE,
In the hot summer days you sure
ly like to watch the sprinkling ma
chine when it moves along through
the streets and flushes 'n strong jet
of water which removes dust and
makes the air more comfortable for
breathing. But your system also
needs such a general washing out of
the organs during the summer
months. If you want to feel com
fortable you must take Triner's Bit
ter Wine which removes the poison
ous wastes accumulated in tne in
testines and facilitates the normal
functions of the stomach, intestines
and kidneys. It tones up the orga
nism and restores the depleted vi
tality. And by the way, Triner's
Bitter Wine is a very palatable rem
edy, but you must get the genuine
preparation and therefore you must
insist upon the word "Triner's."
Your druggist or dealer in medicines
"has Triner's Bitter Wine always in
stock. Also try Triner's Liniment'
for tired feet, you will be surprised j
how a foot-bath and rubbing the feet,
with Triner's Liniment removes I
quickly all fatigue.
