Nickels ami Mrs. Henry C. Long were visiting with friends in Plattsmouth last Tuesday afternoon, driving up in Miss Nickels' Super-Six. Lester Crosser and wife, of Wood Kiver. were visitors in Murray, being guests of R. R. Nickels and family for'afew days, as well as enjoying considerable time spent with other relatives. Frank Mrasek. driving a truck for L. H. .Puis, hauled a load of hogs to Simth Omaha for Oscar Gapen the other day and on his return brought a load of lambs for the feeding lots of A. J. Schaefer. Arch Cole, of Omaha, arrived in Murray last Tuesday and went to work for Searl Davis ou his farm west of town, where he will assist with the work incident to- getting ready for harvest. D. K. Ebersole was a visitor in Murray last Tuesday, coming down for some machinery which he had sold to customers near the county seat and did not have in stock in the Pla 1 1 smout h warehouse. Ray Creamer is the possessor of a fine Dodge car which he secured at Omaha a few days ago. The car is a fine one and no mistaking the fact. He. traded his other car in on the new Dodge roadster. The supper last Saturday evening was by far the best which .has yet been given, nearly 250 people being in attendance and the receipts amounting to over sixty, dollars. All are well pleased with the patronage which has been given these suppers during the past winter. Ilollis Banning, of Union, was a visitor in Murray last Tuesday, com ing with his truck for a load of ce ment for use in the construction of a foundation for the new home which Mr. Banning's father. W. B. . Ban ning will erect for a home for him self and family during the coming summer. . Ky Wilson, of Craig. Colorado, was a visitor at the home of his father J. A. Wilson during the past! week, driving home a new car f rom I Omaha, .which he was forced to come' after on account of the shortage of ' railroad shipping facilities. Mr. Wil-! son owns a garage at Craig and is able to dispose of cars faster than he can procure them. Will Clo-e at 10:00 a. m. The stores of A. Gansemer. lliat't & Tutt and W. S. Smith of Murray will all close on July nth. at 10 a. m. on account of the Fourth of July coming on Sunday and Monday the fifth being set aside fcr the celebra tion. All concerned will please gov ern themselves accordingly. The Stork Kept Busy During the past few days there has been much work for his stork-' ship in supplying orders from the( vicinity of Murray. On last Thurs day, June liin, ne seni a nice nine baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bev erage, who upon her arrival was de clared by the happy parents to be the best gift a kind providence could have bestowed. Dr. Brendel reports all concerned getting along well. The following day, June 18th, at the home of John Armstrong, an other little girl, just the match for the other one, was bestowed upon them and happiness reigns supreme.
