BAKER John E. Baker who died Friday morning of influenza at his home on the Serle Davis farm northeast of town was buried in Oakwood ceme tery at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. On account of the illness of Mr3. Baker and a child and the prevailing epidemic only short services were held at the grave conducted by the Ror. W. II. Riley, r-stor of the Con gregational church. Mr. Eaker had lived In the con munity the last five years, coming here from Missouri. He held a repu tation as a splendid worker and an honest and upright man. He was 34 years.
