The pastor of the lhurch spoke feelingly, taking his text from the HGth psalm, "I'recious in the sijikc of the Lord is the death of His Saints." and from this text drew a picture of the left of this splendid lady whose life had been like that of an open book and whose taking away had brought Mich a sense of sorrow to the community as well as to the stricken family. During the service a quartet com posed of Jesse 1. Ferry, Don C. York. Mrs. K. II. Weseott and Miss j i Florence Raiser sang "Sweet Hour ot l'rayer, "Lord. I in Com Ins Home" and "Jesus Savior. Filot Me," all of which had been so well loved by the departed lady during her lifetime. Following are the names of the n:re energetic, and ambition farm ers living in the Sunny Hill school district and adjacent territory south east of Weeping Water, who have donated time and money toward the cont ruct ion of a new wagon road running parallel with the Missouri Facilic railroad to the; section line ea.-t of the Myers stone quarries: Claude I). Johnson, Chris Flgaard, Gus P.orgeson, Louis Allgayer Sr., Jolm Ileibner, U. O. Hutchins, Wm. r.aty. J. H. Johnson, II. C. Anderson. John Kintner, Kay Xorris, John Xor ri:, Fred Xorris. Marius Xelson, Mil ton Preston, Krnest Date's, Charles Hutchins. These wide-awake farmers, under the leadership of Claude D. Johnson ami Chris KIgaard constructed a tirade crossing on the east side of the nev. switch track leading to the new stone quarries, notwithstanding the fact that the ground was frozen eight inches deep. With the aid of good teams and considerable dynamite the frozen obstructions were removed and the till completed. This work was no easy snap. Hut it shows what a bunch of ambitious, wide-awake men can do when they see the necessity of a public improvement that will benefit everyone in the community, as well as themselves. Too much praise cannot be given those men and those who will furnish the work in the spring and to the two Mr. Myers of the stone company who are gradin-; the road west of the switch ami who m:tdo this long needed i.r.- provemcnt p.,o0nlc.
