for the purpose of making the dis
tricts larger, that tiiey might be en

river as the roads are very bad. and
the. country and the distance great.
What will be done in the matter was

brother uf Mr-. J. W. Perger of Mur
ray, arrived from Lincoln where they
have been visiting for rome time, and
are visiting at the IVrpor home for
a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson

'iinten. Oklahoma, but have just sold
their place there and will, after hav
ing visited their many friends and
relatives, depart for the west and will
n.ike California their home in the
iuture.
Goes to Ko:pital for Treatment.
Sherman Kainey. who sometime
during the month, of September re
ceived a kick on one of his legs from
a horse, has been suffering lately
with much pain, in his knee, and ac
companied by great swelling. Upon
the advice of hi.s physician. Dr. Prcn
P I. departed for Omaha last Tuesday
morning' for consultation with a specialist.

for the funeral Mr. Baker returned
home. Mr. Hurt on will be remem
bered as having lived in Murray for
many years. The family will make
their home in Lincoln for the present.

Misses Vera and Marjory Moore
were visiting with friends in Platts
mouth the early portion of t lie week,
going to that plate on the evening
train last Tuesday.
George Jenkins, who is attending a
business college in Omaha, was a vis
itor at the home of his mother in that
city for over Sunday returning to his
studies last Monday.
W. II. I'uls. William Puis. Sr.. and
Fred Ifild and families were in at
tendance last Sunday at the funeral
of Charles C. Hennings. which oc
curred at the Glcndalo church just
east of! Louisville.
Cows Sold Well Last Week.
The cows which were sold at Mur
ray for dairy purposes last week
brought good prices. While they were
brought to Murray and offered for
sale with nothing but a short
time for examination, the 22 head
which were offered for sale, brought
$2,400. or on an average of $10"J.09
each. The highest bringing $151,
while the lowest was considerably
under a hundred, this being for a cow-
that needed no guardian, she being of
mature age. Only two sold for less
than a hundred dollars. Col. W. K.
Young conducted the sale.
