MRS. MANNERS BRUISED BY LEAP FROM AUTOMOBILE From Wednesday's Pally. On Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Charles Manners, residing south of the city, had quite an unpleasant ex perience in their automobile while they were driving down the hill in the pasture Just north of the farm house. As the car was going down hill, the pinion in the rear of the car oroKe anu u was u.mcuit iiifin i lie speeu oi me car aim guiue its course and as a result it started down the incline at a fast rate of speed that frightened Mrs. Manners and she leaped from the car and was thrown quite violently to the ground being very badly bruised. Mr. Manners stayed with the run away car and after it crashed thru a wire fence was able to get it stop ped. He at once hurried to Mrs. Manners, who apparently had suf- fered no broken bones, but was se- verely bruised and shaken up as the result of the accident. Mrs. Man- ners was brought into Plattsmouth yesterday and had -the injuries ex- I . . - j ... - amined but no broken bones could be discovered and it was thought right in a few days. It was verv fortunate that her injuries were not of nature. a more serious MEETS WITH ACCIDENT IN FALL FROM HAYMOW From Wednesday's Pnity. Last evening Earl Wiles, a son of George Wiles, residing nine miles west of .Murray, met with quite a painful accident and as a result of which he will be compelled lo re main on the retired list for a few days. Earl was working in the bay mow in the barn when he losl his footing and fell to the floor below, striking in his descent the manger. The young man was severely bruis ed and at first it was feared lie bad sustained fracture of some of t ho ribs but on the arrival of Ir. G. II. Gilmore of Murray, an examination failed to reveal any broken bones and aside from the severe Infixes sustained, it is thought that he has not received any serious injuries. The injured man is reported as rest ing easily today and hopes soon to be over the effects of the accident. ENJOYS FAMILY PARTY. From Wednesday's Pally. LOTTIE BARGER This morning at her home in the north portion of the city Mrs. Lottie Barger. passed away after quite a long illness due to lung trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Parger have been in the city for only a little over a week having stopped here on an atito trip for the benefit of Mrs. Barger's health and while here her condition became so serious that it was im possible to save her life and after a . few days suffering she has passed away.
