lecture was the "United Slates; and
I South America." a very popular
I lecture. This was followed by th"
; old colonial band in its popular con
cert. Taking it all in all the chau

attended.

the Intermountiein states are refus
ing to sell their wheal at the gov
ernment guarantee;! price and
-ral mills in this district are now

grain, according to authorized sta'e
ments of Ogden grain evchange offi
cials todav. The following state-
ment was issued:
"Farmers in U':ih rnd Idaho will
net sell wheat excepting at a preni-
ium of twenty-five oen's a buhf 1
over the government baMs. Several
of the mi 115 are idle fir w;nt cf
wheat, which th' farmers will net
turn loose excepting at this prein
ium." The grain exchange includes rep
rc'?enf atifes of three large Pacific
coast flour companies and all eithe-r
prominent buyers of this district.
