wood was a visitor in Plattsmouth
last evening having driven down

mained over night with friends.

Attorney c. L. Graves was a
visitor 'in Plattsmouth this morning
from his home at Union and was
looking after some legal matters at
the court house as well as some
business in the city.
Mrs. Myra McDonald of Murray
was a visitor in this city for a short
time yesterday and while in the
city made a call at the Journal of
fice renewing her subscription to
this paper, and was accompanied by
Mrs. Frank Reed also of Murray.
Mr. S. S. Gooding who has been
at Gilette, Wyoming, for the past
week returned home yesterday mor
ning, after having enjoyed a stay
in the northwest, which he says is
looking elegant at this time, with
business booming, and the crops all
looking well.

Memorial day services.
Rev. Hunter, who had been asked
by the members of the G. A. K. to
make the Memoriar address, spoke a
little less than thirty minutes to a
house which was well filled and
his audience proved most attentive.
Taken all inall the services were

The game which Manager Sandin
has arranged for on Decoration day,
Friday of this week, is with a team
which' knows how to play ball, and
in a game which they had a few
weeks since with the Red Sox, were
the winners, the White Sox of
Omaha geting one run to the Red
Sox none, which made it a very
interesting game. The lovers of
the game may expect to fee a very
closely contested game on Friday.
The game may be called a little
later than usual on account' of the
Memorial exercises. Further an
nouncement will be made as to the
hour the game will be called.
