Wassell is just now exe cuting a fine piece of work for the Woodman of the World, of which he is a member, and is making a spec ial design of monument for Eddie George Conjos arrived this morn ing from Camp Funston, where he has been for the past five months in training for service of the U. S. ar my. He is looking fine, and says he has been enjoying good health, and likes the army life very well. Like all others, now when the necessity for their service has virtually tnded they are desirous of returning to the occupation of civilian life. Yesterday tiiere were some one hundred and twenty-five boys from the Sixth grade up, which met at the High School, in a meeting for the organization of the Victory Hoys work, and were addressed by the Rev. II. G. McCluskey, and A. V. Hunter, as well as by Superin tendent of the city schools, G. E. DeWolf, upon the work before them. In the organization of the work, the boys pledged to raise $423.75 and as the matter is given to the boys as optional whether it be paid in three payments or all in one, many are expecting to make the one payment. The money which Is pledg ed is to be either earned or saved by the boys. They were very enthus iastic, at their meeting, and made the matter of singing pafriotc songs one of the features of the meeting ns well as listening to patriotic ad dresses.
