JOINT RESOLUTION to amend Section one (1) of Article seven (7 of the Constitution of the State of Nebraska. Be It Resolved by th Legislature of the State cf Nebraska: Section 1. That Section One of Ar ticle Seven cf the Crastitutioa of the State of Nebraska by and the same hereby is amended by btrikicg out the following words: "Second. Persons of foreign birth who shall have declared their inten tion to become cUizcr.s conformably to the Laws of the United States, on tte subject of naturalization, at least thirty days prior to an election." And Inserting in the place of the words so stricken, the following words: "Second. Persons cf foreign birth who shall have become citizens of the Un!tei States by raturallzation or otherwIe conrormably to the laws of the United States at least thirty day prior to an election. ' Sec. 2. Rosencrans departed this afternoon for Bellevue. where they go to visit with their son BIythe for a short time who is in army training at Bellevue college. O. M. Kintz. and Herman Teokot ter arrived this morning from Cedar Creek, where they have been work ing on a house for Jacob Beuchler, coming to spena the week end at home. Webster Russell, was a passenger this afternoon for his home at Weep ing Water, where he will spend over Sunday with his family, and will return in time Monday to take up his work here. Rev. II. G. Albert Anderson, was a visitor -in this citv for over mailt. coming from his home at Union, and visited at the home of his sister, Mrs. V. T Arn and family. Mr. Anderson had some business at the court house this morning, and after having look ed after it he departed on the af ternon train for Onulia. where he also had some matters to look after before returning to his home. Mrs. Harry Johnson, who has gone to Omaha on the morning train re ceived a letter from Larry Lawn which intimated that he would pass through Omaha some time this af ternoon, and so departed on the early afternoon train for Omaha in hopes that she would be able to see him on his way. It looks as though they would have a pretty fair opportunity as there are about four hundred Omahans on the train. From Friday's Daily. E. J. Wood Rainey who has been in the west for seme time past, where he was assisting in harvesting, thresh ing and reseeding the ground to wheat for the coming season, re turned home last night. Walter Sans was in this afternoon from his home near Rock Bluffs and wr-s looking after some business for a short time. George Barks and wife from near Murray were in the city this morn ing looking after some business for the day. Walter T. Vallery was a visitor in this city from his home northwest of Murray and was looking after some business for the day. John True cf Cedar Creek was a visitor in this city, this morning, coming down en the early train to look after some matters for the day. Mis. Frank Motsky of Louisville was a visitor in this vit' yesterday coming down on the morning train to look after some business and re turning home in the evening. Charles Johnson was a visitor in Plattcmcuth today from his home near Louisville, and is visiting with his many friends here, as well as looking after some business for the day. Herman Beck of near Nehawka was a visitor in this city for a short time last evening, coming to look after some business here and de parted for his home later in the day. Carl Meyer of Louisville was a visitor in this city yesterday, coming down to look after some business for a short time and to take the physi cal examination before the local board. John Monroe, who has been visit ing for some time at Bellevue, with his daughter Mrs. S. C. Stevens, re turned home this afternoon and was accompanied by Mrs. Stevens who will visit for a short time here. Col. W. 11. Killein who is con ducting the closing or reduction sale at Murray, and which is meeting with such a great success, was a pas senger this afternoon for Omaha, where he is looking after some busi ness for a few hours. This morning six more men ar rived from Kansas City, and went to work with the Burlington at this place. Thus making a goodly num ber which have come here to work and should if the stram continue in a way" solve the problem of labor congestion here. W. B. Rishel, departed this morn ing for LaPlatte, where he goes to i.ssist in filling the immense silo which he has just as-sisted in con ft met ing. The material which is being used in the tilling of the silo is sorghum or cane, which has been nlanted verv extensively near that place for a South Omaha firm'and which is to be used for the feeding of cattle. This morning W. II. Miller the carpenter and builder, begins on : house on the farm of A. G. Bach just east of the Burlington passeng er station, which will be one which will greatly enhance the value of the property, and sunply a great neces sity for the farm. The materials which will lie-used in the construe tion of the building, are what have come from the houses which h been torn down just recently in order to make way for the building of the Auto Power and Malleable Manufacturing Company, which 1 to extend from Main street south to the hills.
