faithful workers, always doing and
willing to do her share.
The Cummins home had neen
made very attractive with handsome
bououcts of the garden flowers plac
ed here and. there. The ladies in
! charge of the this afternoon's cn-
tertairment had planned a number
of amusements from which the
guests derived much rdersure. On
the arrival of all the guests, the
first diversion introduced was a race
in eating peanuts. Twenty minutes
were distributed and the guests
were given hut a few moments to eat
these peanuts. Mrs. Ed. Egenberg
cr got away with hers the first and
was awarded the prize.. Strinas, with
a peanut at one end were then dis
tributed and the' guests were re
quested to eat string, peanut and
all, without any assistance so far as
their hands were concerned. In this
contost Mrs. Will Clement carried
off the prize.
A few moments were then devot
ed to a pleasant social conversation
and then the guests were invited to
the dining room where an elegant
ard delicious picnic buffet luncheon

The ladies of St. Mary's Guild
truly did enjoy themselves at this
rftcrnoon party, but the fact that
they were to lose another of their
faithful members from their midst,
eact a shadow on their pleasures.
But, while they regret losing Mrs.
McDaniel, yet, on their departure
they extended their best wishes to
her for hapniness in their new home
in Sunny California.

morrow morning over the Missouri

and friends before their departure
