SEVEN CASS COUNTY
BOYS FOR CODY
Frotn Friday's IJaily.
There have been called seven more
of the boys to go to Camp (tody,
this time instead of Camp Funston,
and they are listed to go within five
days of the 20th of this month,
whether before or after tho 2f)th is
not known. A new ruling on the
matter of selection of men to go to
the camps has been put out, in which
the order conies to place at the last
of class one, those who from their
occupation of farming, and who are
actually engaged there and who are
not using this as a means of getting
the deferred classification.
The president lias asked every citi
zen to assist in putting into effect
this regulation, both as to placing
at the last of the list those who are
actually doing their best to raise
fnuethin.se for the people to eat, and
of enlightening those who are hand
ling th.e matter of those who are
using this as a moans of only getting
deferred position.?.
Ilesides that order comes another
change, which is from 29 to 2S.
Twenty-nine was for coast artillery
to go to Jefferson Farracks, while
the one substitutes for it, order num
ber 2S calls for coast artillery to go
to Ft. Logan. Colorado. Those which
have been selected for the call which
comes within five days of the twenty
ninth, are: Ralph J. Twiss. George
H. Kopischki. John IL Fuskirk.
I ranklyn It. Comstock, Phillip Their
olf. Joseph Ii. Fulin. Ilirain Fields.
The instructions coming with the
order say that no one after the call
shall be excused for voluntary in
duction, after the selection lias been
made. Robert Ilcbal would have
come as the last one of the seven,
had he not have before he was to
lane beet; listed volunteered and had
been accepted in th.e Medical depart
ment of the service, and will ,; to
Ft. Riley. Kansas.
