MUTT AND JEFF
DIVORCED IS RICH
BUD FISHER'S HA! HA! TWINS
NEWEST SCREAMING MUSIC
AL COMEDY NOVELTY
COMING SOON.
S0.70
The bi laugh success of the year
is "Mutt and Jeff Pivorced" coming
j to the Parmele theatre on Saturday,
February 23rd for one night only,
j The greatest of all sure fire car
toon characters. Mutt & Jeff, in their
newest misadventures, are reported
a scream from start to finish.
This time the long and short
freaks get mixed up in divorce pro
ceedings, all on account of a demure
little girl of the school age type, en
trusted to their care by an aunt.
Mrs. Mutt and Mrs. Jeff misunder
stand matters, and the complications
starting at this angle pile up until
the two principals are winging all
the time.
The production is pronounced one
of the most pretentious of all travel
ing combinations. The principals in
clude some of the most popular laugh
makers in the travesty field, and the
chorus girls are generally reported
unusually gifted and all superlative
ly attractive.
Ginger, snap and go is the slogan
of the performance and report says
the prospectus is lived up to every
second of the comedy's three acts.
The scenic and costume investiture
equals any of the most ornate and
costly effects of the big Broadway attractions.
ing and he l:ar an excellent fit on it,
and it was all dene by his own
hands. This is Charles Richards, jr.
who is eleven years ef age.
The work which this school is do
ing is making a good balance with
the quota which the Red Cross is do
ing here.
Not alone are the teachers to be
congratulated upon the good show
ing which this school has made, but
the scholars are also in for a good
amount of praise, and they are the
ones which are doing the real work.
About Constipation.
Certain articles of diet tend to
check movements o fthe bowels. The
most common of these are cheese,
tea and boiled milk. On the other
hand raw fruits, especially apples
and bananas, also graham bread and
whole wheat bread promote a move
ment of the bowels. When the
bowels are badly constipated, how
ever, the rure way is to take one or
two of Chamberlain's Tablets imme
diately after supper.

From Friday's Daily.
Miss Marie Kaufman, who in her
work as instructor in penmanship of
the city schools, found a Bee Hive
of industry at the Columbian, where
Miss Nettie Hawksworth is the teach
er, and Misses Lillian Dwyer. Vesta
Douglas and Mrs. C. L. Carlson are
the instructors.
The children have taken up the
proposition of knitting during the
intermissions, instead of playing, and
the boys as well as the girls work
ing at the knitting. You would be
surprised to see how those boys and
girls make the needles snap when
at the work. The children are now
knitting squares for the Red Cross,
and are doing a good job of it too.
One of the young lads has knitted
himself a sweater, which he is wear-
