Judge Begley Speaks. Judge Begley then addressed him self to the memory of the departed brothers in a most splendid eulogy. He laid special emphasis upon the fact that it is but human to want to be remembered, pointing out as examples the pyramids of Egypt be ing built for no other purpose than to perpetuate the memory of . kings and princes of that early day and al so the instance of Biblical history, when Jesus, himself, broke bread and poured" wine, directing the disciples to "do this in memory of Me." Mr. Begley said that when our star of life shall have set, the memory of our live? and actions will shine on, as there are ties which cannot sun der, lie further likened memory, to history, in the recording of events and occurrances, and said were it not for this faculty one generation after the other would have to learn for it-. self over and over again the things that make for civilization, and so could be no further advanced than its predacessor. Citing the experi ences of the attorney, the physician and the minister making use of this faculty in diagnosing problems and establishing arguments, he said that of all senses of mankind that of memory is the greatest.
