Tom Isner, jr., of this city, who re cently enlisted in the United States navy, is now in a position where he can see a real touch of life on the ocean and on the boats of Uncle Sam, as he is located at New York in a training ship preparatory to being rent to one of the boats of the At lantic fleet. He is well pleased with the life in the navy anil glad that lie entered the service. FIRST PERMIT FILED. L. A. Tyson of Elmwood is the fust of the Cass county druggists to file applications in the office of County Judge Allen J. Beeson for the sale of ethly alcohol under the provisions of the new prohibitory law of the state and the permit will be passed upon by the judge and, if recommended, will be issued to the applicant.
