FRED WRENN AT THE
COUNTY HOSPITAL
SHOWS IMPROVEMENT
From Wednesday's Daily.
Fred Wrenn, who has been staying
out at the county farm, west of this
city, for the past few months, has
been suffering a great deal from an
injury he received by being kicked by
a horse on the left leg. and has not
shown the best signs of improvement
and the county commissioners are con
sidering sending him to the Douglas
county hospital in Omaha for treat
ment in hopes that he may recover the
use of the limb and be able to resume
work. The man was injured while he
was working on a farm in the vicinity
of Manley and for some time was at
one of the Omaha hospitals until his
funds became depleted and he was re-
turned to this county and has since
been cared for at the farm, but the
lack of suitable facilities for treating
the man has decided the commission-
ers to remove him to the hospital,
where he can be cared for as cheaply
as here and given the opportunity of
regaining the use of the limb. He is
a man of some 40 years of age and
was quite industrious up to the time
of the accident.
