visitor Wednesday of this week.
Miss Laura Puis was visiting with

Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Pitman are plan

where they will spend the winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shoemaker and
daughter, Mrs. Edith Thiele, were
visiting with county seat friends Wed
nesday of this week, chiving up in the
handsome new Dodge car of Mrs.
Thiele.
Robert Shrader and wife were in
Omaha Monday of this week.
Harry Creamer, Will Wehrbein and
G. M. Minford were looking after
some business matters in Omaha Wed
nesday. Miss Mattie Nutzman of Avoca
is spending her Christmas vacation
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd
Gapen, being a guest of their daugh
ter, Miss Villa. Miss Nutzmann is in
structor of the Intermediate classes
in the Avoca schools.
John Karris and Steve Copenhaver
were in Murray last Saturday visiting
with their many friends at the old
home. The people of this community
are indeed glad to welcome these ex
cellent families back to the old home,
and trust that they may find future
locations near.
The revival meetings that opened at
the Christian church last Sunday even
ing have been attended with consider
able interest. The attendance has
been very good, increasing as the
meeting progresses. The sermons
have been good and very interesting to
those attending.
W. R. Young and brother, D. C.
Young of Sentinel Butte, N. D.,
and sister, Miss Clara Young, drove
to Plattsmouth Tuesday morning to
attend to some important busness
matters, Mr. W. R. Young having
charge of II. K. Keil sale, which was
held last Tuesday.
Mrs. John Lloyd was a Plattsmouth
visitor Tuesday.
Marie Davis and Vera Hatchett are
home to spend the holidays.
Miss Villa Gapen and Miss Olga
Minford are home to spend Christmas

with the grippe for the past few days
Miss Neva Latta is expected here to
spend the holidays with relatives and
friends.
Mrs. O. A. Davis and Mr. and Mrs.
Vance Pitman were Platsmouth visit
ors Tuesday.
Mrs. J. D. Shrader went to Omaha
Wednesday of this week, where she
spent the day visiting with friends.
Mrs. E. S. Tutt and Mrs. O. A. Davis
were in Omaha Tuesday attending the
"Birth of a Nation" at the Brandeis
Mrs. J. Jenkins and sons came home
Tuesday from Rosalie, where they
have been visiting for the past few
weeks.
Mrs. A. L. Baker and daughter,
Opha, will depart next week for a
few days' viit over in Iowa, at the
home of Mr. Baker's sister.
Okiham sisters have added another
fine team to their rapidly increasing
stock farm this week. They purchased
the fine sorrel team of Bert Crawford
Bert Root sprained his hand a few
days ago while gathering corn. He
has ben compelled to take a number
of days off from work owing to the in
jured member.
Electric Light Plant Meeting.
There was another meeting of those
interested in the electric light plant
held at the Puis & Gansemer hall
Tuesday evening of this week. Mr.
Henderson, representing the Alamo
Electric Plant Co., was present and de
livered a very able talk on the subject.
but did not meet with the desired re
sult, that of securing sufficient en
dorsement to justify the installation
of one of their large plants. Those
interested in the movement are still
very anxious to install a plant of the
larger type for they are positive that
it will eventually be needed for supply
ing the town with light. There will
be another meeting called for the early
part of January, at which time Mr.
Henderson will put on a demonstra
tion, displaying the needs and possibil
ities of an electric plant such as he is
desirous of installing in Murray. He
will have a small plant in operation at
the Puis & Gansemer hall on the date,
to be announced later, and will attach
not only lights, but all kinds of cooking
attachments. An invitation will be ex
tended to all to be in attendance at
this meeting. Watch for the date, be
on hand and boost.
Perry Minniear has been on the
sick list for the past few days.
W. II. Puis and Ted Barrows were
Omaha visitors last Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Crawford were
Omaha visitors Tuesday of this week.
Mrs. W. S. Smith has been suffering
with the grippe for the past few days.
The infant child of Mr. and Mrs.
Grover Hopkins has been quite sick
for the past few days.
The little child of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Reade has been quite sick for
the past few days.
Mrs. Sarah Young has been quite
sick for the past few days suffering
with an attack of the grippe.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Boedeker and
Mrs. E. S. Tutt and Mrs. Hiatt motor-
eel to Plattsmouth last Friday evening.
Philip Keil shipped a car of stock to
South Omaha last Tuesday night,
making the trip to that city with them.
The entire family of Mr. and Mrs.
Oliver Davis have been suffering with
the grippe, all members of the family,
including the father and mother, have
ing been confined to iheir bed.
Jeff Brendel is making preparations
to move from the Sporer place east of
Murray, to his own place, the one he
bought of Mrs. Baxter some time ago.
He will move about the first of the
year.
The Parcel Post and Apron sale
given last Saturday by the ladies of
the Aid society, was a success in every j
particular. The attendance was fully j
up to all former occasions given by
this society, and the treasury of the
society has increased over fifty dollars
by the holding of the same. The af
fair was cne of great pleasure to all,
as well as one of a financial success.

Open Up Another Piant.
The Keystone Pipe Company of
Union, of which company W. B. Ban-
ning is the president, have opened up j
another plant in Kans.is City, Kansas. ,

ritory to another company, and hold
a one-tenth interest in the same, with
a royalty on all the pipe manufactured
by the new company. The product j
put out by the Keystone company is j
without a single exception the best
for all underground piping that has
ever been placed on the market, and is
meeting the demands for all purposes.
The home company at Union have
been kept busy since they began the
manufacture of this pipe and as the
product becomes better known the
business increases. It was a success
from the start, but many improve
ments have been made as the business
grows. Other factories will no doubt
be established as the business and de
mand grows for this quality of piping.
Return From Canada.
Miss Jessie and Miss Lydia Todd
will arrive home from Canada and the
coast country on Thursday of this
week. In company with Vance Todd
they departed from their farms in
Canada a few weeks ago, en route to
the coast, where they attended the
fair and visited with friends and rela
tives on the coast. Vance has decided
to remain in Los Angeles for the win
ter at least, finding something in that
city that looked good to him in the
way of a financial proposition.
Uncle George Shrader was looking
after some business matters in Platts
mouth Wednesday of this week.
Uncle George Shrader has added
another 100-acre iarm to his Cass
county possessions, the deal being
completed the past week whereby he
purchases the farm of his son, Robert
Shrader, cast of Murray.
Mrs. John Campbell departed Mon
day of this week for California, where
she will spend several months visiting
lelatives and friends along the coast.
W. B. Banning of Union was in
Murray Wednesday afternoon.
Green Piggott was a county
visitor last Saturday.

The Library association will give a
"Get Together Lunch" at the library
rooms on Tuesday evening, December
28th. Hon. W. B. Banning will be the
principal speaker of the evening. His
subject will be, "Greater Possibilities
for Murray." There will be other
speakers and special music. Program
begins promptly at 8:15. The public
invited.

Substitutes Cultivator Wheel.
Leonard Terryberry broke the spin
dle out of his car one day this week,
and being several miles from home he
substituted a cultivator wheel, with
which he made the trip home, and all
the running he ha3 since done this
week has carried its portion of the car
we are not stating how many miles
he has traveled since the accident.

ted Presbyterian Sabbath school have
been practicing in preparation for the
White Gift service on Friday evening,
December 24. This service should be
gin about 8 o'clock. If you have a
