SURPRISED ON 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Zuckweiler & Lutz Celebrate Silver Weddinjr, as Well as the Fiftieth Iiirthday of Mr, Hallstrom. IT'S FUN TO GIVE A Hollowe'en Party if you know where to go for Decorations, Favor and Games WE CAN SUPPLY TRADE MARK 2 m nteb spec in very large variety The Journal Office Saturday evening, October 23d, was the occasion of much pleasure in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John II. Hall strom and an event that will long be very pleasantly remembered by the worthy couple, who on this date were made the "victims" of a most pleasant and delightful surprise. On this date, twenty-five years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Hallstrom had been united in marriape at Lincoln, Neb., and on the same day came to Platts mouth, where they have since made their home continuously with the ex ception of five years spent at Have lock. Their daughter, Miss Alpha, deciding: that it was an occasion meriting being observed, arranged the event and entirely without the facts getting to the ears of her parents and the first intimation of the intended surprise was when the guests began to arrive, and then our worthy fellow citizen and his wife were overwhelmed by the shower of good wishes extend ed by their many friends, who to the number of fifty filled the Hallstrom home and joined in making the oc casion one of the rarest enjoyment and pleasure. It was not only a silver wedding observance that was celebrated, but the fiftieth birthday anniversary of Mr. Hallstrom as well, and the day, with its importance, brought many happy recollections to both the hus-L band and wife as they stood in the midst of their friends and received the shower of hearty well wishes and congratulations. As token of the esteem and good will in which both the guests of honor are held by their friends and neigh bors, they were presented with a large number of pieces of silverware of great beauty, including a solidsilver coffee set and a great many individual pieces and sets of silver spoons. The gifts were presented by Rev. Larch cf Aurora, a traveling minister of the Swedish church, who spoke of the kindly feeling held by their friends toward Mr. and Mrs. Hallstrom. At a suitable hour a very delicious and much enjoyed luncheon was served to the jolly party, and at at late hour they departed homeward, wishing Mr. and Mrs. Hallstrom many more happy wedding anniversaries and Mr. Hall strom many more years of happiness and joy. Those who were present from out of the city were: Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Johnson of Omaha, Mrs. William Fahlson.of Davy, and Miss Hannah Berggren of Omaha.
