The Liberty Pell which from the tower of Independence hall in Phila delphia, in 177G proclaimed liberty to the United States and carried its mes sage around the world, will pass through this city Friday morning: at 4:li en route to the Panama-Pacific exposition at San Fianciseo. The famous bell, which is traveling by special train from Philadelphia to San Francisco, will arrive over the Bur lington at the Junction at 4 o'clock and at once proceed to this city. There will be no stop made here, but the train will run very slowly in order that those who desire may get a glimpse of the famous bell, which wi'.l go down as one of the most famous in the history of the world, and its triumphal tour shows the spirit of patriotism which is stirring the American people at this time. Mrs. V. II. Venner and daughter, Miss DeElIa. and Mrs. Samuel Eccles, a sister of Mrs. Venner, came up this morning from their home and were passengers on the early Burlington train for their home. Divorce Granted in District Court. From Tuesday's Dailv. In the district court this morning a deciee of divorce was granted in the caseo f Hazel Cappen vs. Ed Cappen, by Judge Begley. Mrs. O. M. Streight returned home this morning from a visit of a few weeks at LaMont, Iowa, and Chicago with friends and relatives, and while at Chicago visited with Monte Streight and wife. Captain Isaac Wiles, who has been at Minatare, Neb., for a short time visiting with relatives there and look ing after his land interests, returned home Sunday, well pleased with his visit in that section. P. C. Chassott cf McAllister, Okla home. accompanied by his wife and children, are here for a short visit at the home of Mrs. P. C. Hanson and family in this city, as well as with other relatives and friends. Alvin Muray of McCook, Neb., was here over Sunday visiting with his mother, Mis. J. A. Murray, and his many friends, before returning to his home in the west, where he is employ ed by the Burlington railroad. James Jones and wife of Shen andoah, Iowa, were visitors here over the Fourth, visting at the homes of relatives, and Mr. Jones departed this morning for his home, while his wife will remain for a longer visit. E. L. Jahrig of Cambria, Wyoming, who has been here visiting his wn, R. C. Jahrig and family, for a few days, departed yesterday morning for his home in the west. E. C. Jahrig accon panied his father at far as Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Ackerman and three, children, Edna, Violet and Ed ward, of Wymorc, Neb., have been visiting relatives in this city since last Wednesday.
