Miss Youny averaged 95 throughout the year, which was the second best in the class. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Pitman visited in Plattsmouth Sunday at the home of Mrs. Pitman's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Adams. . Latta, James Holmes. Mrs. Holmes, Mrs. O. V. Virgin, Miss Neva Latta and James Latta made a trip to Omaha Tuesday of this week. The trip was made in the auto of Mr. Latta. Homer Shrader has purchased a residence property in Plattsmouth, the place ioimerly occupied by W. D. Wheeler. We did rot learn whether or not Homer intends moving to the county seat. Will Schlichtemeier shipped a load of feeding cattle from South Omaha this week. They were unloaded at this station Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zuckweiler, of Plattsmouth, were Murray visitors last Sunday, being guests at the home of Mr. and -Mrs. L. D. Iliatt. Mrs. Taylor, residing down near Union, has been quite sick for the past few days, caused front a dislo cation of her shoulder, received a few days ago by falling against the stove. lie i t Young, w ho has been at home .ill winter, departed last Saturday for Canada, where he will remain for the summer looking after his land in terests. Frank Yallery has started the ex cavation for his -new residence in Murray, and the structure will be rushed to completion as rapidly as possible. Louie Puis and John Engelkemeier were looking after some business mat ters in Omaha Tuesday of this week. The trip was made in the auto of Mr. Engelkemeier. There were thirty members taken into the class, and they work in the interests of the German Lutheran Chu rch. Chas. Carroll, who has been suffer ing for the past few weeks with a car buncle on the back of his neck, is still a very sick man, although he has been reported some better the past few das. He was taken to Omaha again on Mondey of this week, where he re ceived treatment, since which time he has been reported as improving. He has suffered a geat deal with the trouble and at times it looked rather serious. Mrs. Chas. Carroll was visiting with friends in Plattsmouth la.st Fri day. J. W. Edmunds has been erecting a new hay barn on his farm east of Murray this week. Miss Etta Nickels departed last week for a few months visit in num erous points in California. G. M. Minford has been hauling the material for the election of a new implement house on his farm east of Muria. Mrs. Chambers, of Plattsmouth, has been spending a few days in Mur ray this week at the home of Mrs. W. S. Smith. T. W. Flemming and family, from near Avoca, were in Murray last Fri day, guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. P.aker. Miss Burger, who has been here for some time assisting her brother in the telephone office, departed last Mon day for her home in Springfield. Henry Vest is suffering this week from a spained ankle that he receiv ed in a runaway, at which time he was thrown from his wagon.
