in the district court for a few hours.

county who was here this week at
tending district court as a member of
the jury.

dan, came in last evening from his
home at Alvo to spend a few hours
looking after some matters in the dis
trict court.
Harry Hinton came in this after
noon from Missouri Valley, where he
is engaged in farming, and will look
after some matters; of importance
here for a few days,
John G. Wunderlich and daughter.
Miss Rhoda, came in last evening for
a short visit at the home of their
daughter and sister, Mrs. Clayton
Rosencrans, in this city.
John Kraeger, one of the worthy
farmers from the vicinity of Mynard,
was in the city today for a few
hours looking after some trailing and
visiting with his friends.

I. J. Gum of Lexington came in last
evening, being called here by the
serious illness of his -wife, who has
s uffered a' relapse at the hospital in
Omaha, where she is taking treat
ment, and he was a passenger for that
city this morning, in company with
his sister-in-law. Miss Rhene Rinker.
Mrs. George Koehnke of Hay
i prinjrs. Neb., who has been here for
the past three weeks visiting with
relatives and friends, was a passeng
er this morning for Omaha, where she
will visit for the day. The little son
of Mrs. Koehnke has been quite sick
here for the past week with pneu
monia, but is now on the road to re

his petition and application with the
villag-e clerk of the villape of Avoea,
County of Cass, and State of Ne
braska, as required by law, signed ly
the required number of resident free
holders of the said village, setting
forth that the applicant is a man of
respectable character and standing
and a resident of the State of Ne
braska, and prayinpr that a license may
be issued to the said Gus 1 . Mohr for
the sale of malt, spirituous and vinous
liquors for the municipal year ending
May 2, 1910, at his place of business,

issued an order of attachment for the

before him, wherein Adolph Wesch is
plaintiff, and Louis Obenrouch is de
fendant, and that property of the de
fendant, consisting of one-quarter of
beef, one meat rack, cne roll of paper
and one smoke house, has been at
tached under said order. Said cause
was continued to the 17th day of May,
