ideal for the bath room, back porch, bed room or

ready and in place when needed. Out of use it
is out of the way. Now is the time to subscribe.

From Saturday's Dativ.
Clean up!
The foregoing: is the spring1 slogan.
Call it brush up, paint up or any
other name, but the meaning is the
same. Clean up. This is the time of
year to do it. Paint your houses and
fences. Trim and rake your lawns
and shrubbery and beautify your
property rrenerally. Do this and you
will have done your share toward im
proving the general appearance of the
city. Aside from this you will take
pride in the appearance of things
tetifialiy and "pat yourself on the
back." There is a national movement
on foot which stands for a general
cleaning up and painting up. It has
been observed in hundreds of cities. of
the United States and is coming to
Plattsrnouth in a short time. An
ticipate it. Start now and beat others
to it. You will be the winner, and
ratisfaction and self-esteem will be
yours. Nothing adds more to the ap
pearance cf a city than well painted
l ouses. All self-respecting citizens
w ill point with pride to the well paint
ed business district and to the nicely
kept and clean-looking residence dis
trict. Hut it is esential that every
body do his share. Buy a little paint.
Paint is sanitary. Paint is a pre
servative. It destroys millions of
Terms that infest decaying and rotten
wood. Paint is not a luxury or an ex
travagance. It is a necessity. It is
economical. It attracts and makes for
that feeling of health and cleanliness
that means prosperity. And, while
you are about it, do not neglect the
interior. Fresh wall paper, renovated
an 1 cleaned carpets and rugs, newly
painted woodwork, and other things
too numerous to mention, all lend to
make the home bright and the wife
.md kiddies healthy and happy. So
clenn up and paint up. Clean out the
cellar r.nd the attic, the back yard as
v.e'l as the front yard. You will be
pleased with yourself and the com
munity will he pleased with you.
