Another Meeting Held at the Method
ist (luirch Sunday Afternoon, and
.More Committees Selected.
A meeting of the enlarged general
tommittee for the proposed religious
taiiipaiga, to be conducted during the
la.st four weeks of Lent, was held yes
tfrday afternoon, and more definite
steps taken for the prosecution of the
work. A great deal of helpful dis
tussioii was had as to different phases
of the situation and its possibilities,
'lht committee unanimously passed a
motion endorsing and supporting the
plan of the Ministerial association ff
r. religiou.s : nd moral awakening i:i
this community. The sentiment ex
pressed by the ministers was to the
effect that this moement had for its
purport' the cure of existing evils, not
.so nu!-h by force as moral susasion
and the stimulating of religions de
sires and higher moral ideals. The
fact w as brought out that the parent
and especially the fathers of IMatts
mouth. ought to give more attention
to religious duties and activities for
the reason that if the fathers will but.
I ad in these matters the remainder
i
t f the family will be most likely to
follow.
