Kelly Fox. Treasurer of Cass County,
iti the State of Nebraska, will on the

commence selling at the office of the.
Count v Treasurer of said County, in
the City or Plattsmouth, at public,
auction." so much of the following
tracts of lands and town lots as shall
be necessary to pay the taxes, together
ivith interest and costs that may have
accrued thereon that day, being the de
linquent taxes for the year 1913 and
prior years, as appears from the tax
lists of said years.
S;iid sale will be held between the
hours of nine o'clock a. m. and four
"dock p. in. of said date, and con
tinue from day to day between said
lours instil all or said property, upon
which delinquent taxes remain unpaid,
sh ut be sold or offered for sale.

"A Joint Resolution to amend Section all
(6) of Article one (1) of the Constitution

Be it Enacted by the People of the Stafi
r t Nebraska :
Section ! That Section six () of Artlcl
one (1) of thu Constitution of the Stat
of Nebraska be amended to read as rot
lows :
Section . The right of trial by Jury
shall remain inviolate; but in all civil caset
and in criminal cases less than felonies,
five-sixths of the jury may render a ver
diet and the Legislature may authorize
trial by a Jury of a b'ss number than
twelve men in courts inferior to the dls
trict court.
Sec. 2. That at the general election fot
state and legislative officers to lie held in
the State of Nebraska on the first Tiiesd:jt
after the first Monday in November in 1914,
there shall be printed upon the ballot of
each elector for his approval or rejection
the above and foregoing amendment in th
following form: "For proposed amendment
to the eoustitution providing that in all

felonies, five-sixths of the Jury may render
a verdict. and "Against the proponed
amendment to the Constitution provided

Be it Resolved and Enacted by the Peopli
of the State of Nebraska:
Section 1. That at the general election
for state and legislative offices, to be held
on the Tuesday succeeding the first Moo
day in November, 1914. the following I
submitted as amendments to Seetion 1 and
24. of Article V, of the Constitution ol
Nebraska :
Sec. 1. The executive department shall
consist of a Governor, who shall hold Lis
office for a term of two years from the
first Thursday after the first Tue.vday in
January, next after his election, and until
his successor is elected and nualub-d. la
addition to the Governor, the executive de
partment shall Include the following offi
cers: Lieutenant tJovernor, Necrutjry of
State, Auditor of Public Account. Treas
urer, Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Attorney General, and Commissioner of
Public Lands and Buildings, each of whtn
shall hold his office fur the term of twi
years from the first Thursday uftcr the
first Tuesday in January, next :iftT his

and qualified; Provided, however, that t!m
