INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS OF G. A. B. AND THE W. R. C. From Tuesday's raily. At their rooms in the court house Saturday evening was held the joint installation of the new ly elected officers of the Grand Army of the Republic and the Woman's Relief Corps, and the .meeting was open to the public. The new heads of the organiza tions are: W. H. Freese, who succeeds J. II. Thra.-her as com mander of the post, and Mrs. E. B. Egenbergcr, who was re-elected as president of the Relief Corps. After the beautiful and impressive installing ceremonies the ladies sprang a.mot de lightful surprise on the mem bers of the Grand Army by serving- some most delicious refresh ments, which were thorou-hly enjoyed by all who were present at the meeting, and the ladies received a great many compli ments for the tempting refresh ments served. The members of both organizations spent several hours most delightfully in a social way and in the singing of inspiring nad patriotic songs, which served as reminders of the old war days when the boys in blue were fighting for home and country.
