Charles Swan received a mes sage last Saturday evening in forming him of the death of his sister, Mrs. Kate, Castle, which on curred at 2 o'clock Saturday aft ernoon at her home in Yorklown, Iowa. Miss Willa M in ford has charge of the kindergarten work of Miss Edith Moon, whose marriage to Edward M. Jumper of Murdock took place at the bride's home in Ashland on Wednesday. The funeral of Clay Conner, a fanner living southeast of town, occurred here Monday afternoon from the undertaking rooms of Clements & Co.. Elder Myers of the Church of Christ olllciating. The immediate cause of death, which came Saturday night, was paralysis. None of the relatives were present when Ihe end came, but kind neighbors were there to adminster to bis wants. The oldest son. Clifford Conner, of Kansas City, came lo attend the funeral and assist in straightca ing up his father's estate. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob FleiscW mann will leave next Sunday, morning for Germany to visit the scenes of their childhood for the first time since coming to America many years ago. They are taking this step as a fulfillment of promise lo themselves that thaj would take a much needed rest from hard labor.
