At a dinner given to Harry Lau der, the Scotch comedian and singer, yesterday afternoon at the Henshaw hotel in Omaha, Hon. Matthew Gering of this city was one of the principal speakers. Mr. Gering made an elo quent response to a toast, one of the most brilliant of the entire assembl age of speeches, and he won many congratulations fcr his masterly ef fort. Besides Mr. Gering, those who spoke at the dinner included Mayor Dahlman who introduced the guest Harry Lauder, John F. Kennedy who acted- as toastmaster, Sir William Kennedy who was the host of the dinner and an old friend of the comedian, Col. T. W. McCullough, Robt, Cowell, Gen. C. F. Mander , son and J. C. LIndsey. All these dis tinguished gentlemen are able and eloquent speakers and Mr. Gering's' address was considered among the leaders among them. In response to the several addres ses Mr. Lauder made a feeling ad dress and disclaimed being actor or even a singer but said he tried to be plain Harry Lauder. In the conclusion of his remarks Mr. Lauder sang a beautiful Scotch song of his own ompesing entitled "Hame to the Auld Folk." As he is considered one of the sweetest singers on the stage to day, it can be imagined he fully just ified his reputation in this song. The dinner closed with the audience clasping hands and singing "Auld Lang Syne." There were some seventy-five lad ies and gentlemen in attendance. "GROW HUT Certain Ingredients if Properly Combined, Stimulate Human Hair Growth. Resorcin is one of the most effect ive germ destroyers ever discovered. Beta-naphthol is a most powerful, yet absolutely safe germicide and antise ptic, which prevents development of germ matter, and creates a clean, healthy condition. Pilocarpine, although not a color ing matter or dye, Is an ingredient well established for its power to re store natural color to human hair. Borax, because of its-well defined softening and cleansing properties, is useful in the treatment of scalp and hair diseases. Glycerine acts as a stimulant to the hair bulbs, and has a soothing, healing and nourishing in- fluence. Alcohol is indispensable in medicine because of its antisepetic, stimulating and preservative ouali- ties. Rexall "93" Hair Tonic is chiefly composed of these ingredients, which are compounded In a peculiar form, and we believe it Is the most effective remedy known to medical science for Bcalp and hair troubles generally. We personally guarantee It to eradi cate dandruff and scalp Irritations and to grow hair, even though the scalps in spots is bare of hair, pro vldlng of course there is life and vitality remaining in the hair roots.
