Cheyenne to connect with the Over

Italy, representing Ernestl Pint of
that city, will artve In the city this
evening In company with ex-mayor
Gerlng for a visit of several days
with Mr. Gerlng and his family. Mr.
Maurer Is a nephew of Herr L. Kluf
tlnger, German consul of Bologna, a
man well known In this city and a
distinguished representative t Ger
many In diplomatic circles.
Col. Askwlth. superintendent of
the Masonic home was a passenger
this morning to Omaha, accompany
ing his daughter Miss Anna, who
leaves this afternoon for Ogden,
Utah. Miss Askwlth Is In the em
ploy of tho Union Pacific Railway
and has been transferred to Ogden
from Omaha. Col. Askwlth recalls
that he was In Ogden on May 19,
1869, almost forty years ago. The
occasion was the laying of the last
rail on tDe Union Pacific and the com.
pletion- of the transcontinental railroad-
