Mr. Isaac i'ollatd returned home
from Seattle. Washington, on Wed

Dick Conrad reports that he had
his share of honors at the Nebraska
City stock show last week, taking

we have not been able to get a com
plete list of the premiums secured.
K. 12. McCleve and wife are mov
ing their household goods to Ne
braska City, where they intend mak
ing their home for a while, and their
numerous friends here wish them
prosperity and contentment in their
new home. Mr. nad Mrs. F. A.
Schaffer, the new proprietors of the
hotel, are here to take charge to
morrow, and on behalf of Union peo
ple the Ledger extends to them a
cordial welcome to our town.

L. F. Uhley commenced the car
penter work on C. (!. Bailey's new
barn Friday. The structure will be
::x;:6 feet. 16 foot posts. The di
mension stuff and sheeting used in
the barn is of oet tonwcod, grown on
Mr. Hailey's farm.
Wm. Mueller returned Wednesday
from a trip to Canada where he
went to look at land. He reports
himself as being will pleased with
the country, and thinks seriously of
investing in a chunk of King Ed
ward's soil .
