They are twelve in number according to the hotel register. DEATH OF MRS. FRED H. GORDER She Passed Away at Her Home in Weeping Water at 1:30 Today. From Saturday's Iaily After an illness of about one week, death this afternoon claimed Mrs. Fred H. Gorder, of Weeping Water. The end came at about 1:C0 p. m. Mrs. Gorder died from an abcess of the bowels, the culmination of a long period of ill health. Every possible effort was made to save her life, Dr. T. P. Livingston, of this city, being called in consultation by Dr. E. T. Rickard, the : attending physician, but to no purpose, j Mrs. Gorder was well known in this j city with a host of friends who sincerely mourn her demise. The sympathy of; the entire public goes out to ti e for-; rowing husband, who was born in this ! city and whose friends are without; number. A full account of the life of' this most estimable woman who will : appear in the Journal later. Auto Broke Down. I'rotii Saturday's Haiiy Chas. Bogenreif and wife of Elm wood were in the city today on legal business. They were accompanied by William Sargent who kindly brought them over in his automobile, at least they came part way in it as it broke down a few miles west of Mynard and had to be towed in by a team. The ac cident served to delay them slightly but did no particular damage as it was trivial in itself. This is the first ac cident Mr. Sargent has had to his ma chine, mention of which was made in this paper at the time it passed through here on its way to Elmwood. It will be in shape to return in tonight. In County Court. From Saturday's Iaily In County Court today Judge Beeson issued a marriage license to Samuel Overstreet, aged 28, and Miss Lillian Gough, aged 21, both of Omaha and both colored. The couple were after ward united in holy wedlock and de parted on the mail train at noon as happy as two persimmons. Judge Beeson also issued a decree of adoption of Marie Sophia Zimmerman by C. W.
