Emma Ethel Purns-Compton was born in Bethel, Lee county, Iowa, June 20, 1SS0, and died at Weeping Water, Xeb., April fi, 1U07, at 2:30 a. m., aged 25 years, 10 months and 20 days. She leaves a husband, two lit tle children, a mother, four sisters, two brothers and many dear friends to mourn her loss.
