While at the depot today, Tony Franks, who came in from Portland, Oregon, tells a Journal reporter how easy it is to get trunks mixed in traveling. He had his trunk re checked at Spokane, Washington, and some way in the jam at the baggage rooms he was given the w rong check. This he did not know until he went for the trunk. He was very much put out about it, because all his best duds were in the trunk that did not arrive. The mistake will probably be cor rected in the course of time, but then a man don't want to wait so long when he needs a change. Give Your Stomach Rest. Nothing will cure indigestion that doesn't digest the food, itself, and give the stomach rest. There has been a great many big corn husking stories going the rounds of the press of Nebraska.some of them perhaps largely magnified, but the champion corn busker of the state in reality hails from Greenwood, this county, and his name is W. J. Iloilen beck. It is said to be an actaul fact that he shucked 2,4.0 bushels of corn in twenty-one days averaging 110 bushels for twenty-one succeeding days. His best day's work was 14" bushels in nine hours, at the same time doing all his own haulingand un loading. This is no "fish story" as there are numerous people in and around Green wood who will vouch for the truthful ness of this storv. This entitles Mr. Ilollenbeck to the championship of the state unless someone comes to the front with a bigger story, and can prove the same, as we are prepared to do on the above. In Mad Chase.
