' What used to be called female diseases by the medical profession is now called pelvic catarrh. It has been found by experience that catarrhal d iseases of the pelvic organs are the cause of most cases of female diseases. Dr. Ilartman was among the first of America's greatest physicians to make this discovery. For forty years he has been treating diseases peculiar to women and long ago he reached the conclusion that a woman entirely free from ca tarrhal affection of these organs would not be subject to female diseases. lie, therefore, began using Peruna for these cases and found it so admirably adapted to their permanent cure that Peruna lias now become the mot famous remedy for female diseases ever known. Every where the women are using it and prais ing it. Peruna is not a palliative sim ply; it cures by removing the cause of female diseases. Peruna builds up the nerves and re stores the appetite and digestion. Dr. Ilartman has probably cured more women of female ailments' than any other living physician. He makes these cures simply by using and recommend Ln.n Peruna. Timely Advice. As the season is at hand for setting up stoves, opening grates and starting urnaces, one cannot be too careful to avoid the dangers of lire in and about the homo. Everything connected with the heating or cooking apparat uses, flues, chimneys and pipes should be inspected and put in good shape. Even with the best of care, disastrous tires often occur, their origin being seemingly veiled in mystery; but by far the oftener they are known to be the result of almost criminal neglect on the part of those whose business it is to attend tosuch things. Defective ues, cracked chimneys, badly protect ed DiDes. the placing of the stove too near a board partition, or over a bare floor unprotected even by the usual zinc square, or the careless emptying of the ash pan in too close proximity to inflammable material, are but a few of these dangers, while cracked, broken or burnt-out stoves which al low coals, large or small, to drop out with a dribble of ashes, are largely re sponsible. It is now claimed that he had a horror of cross ing the bridge where he lost his life, and told several persons that if any accident happened to him at that place to telegraph to his folks at once. He claimed that some day he would lose his life at the bridge, and was always afraid to cross it. Strange as it may seem that is where lie was killed. Was it premonition or simply guess work? He told Weston Jones, Tuesday, that he was afraid of these big engines and predicted then lie would not make a half dozen trips on the "battleship" before they would turn over and kill hill.
