The shipment of cream from this station to the Waterloo Creamery Co., last Saturday was rather light owing to the dray team getting a little ex cited and took a spin up the street spilling several cans of cream. We understand that C U. Killer has purchased several lots sear the road track. This looks like a lumber bill for Hrown & Edmunds, and that somebocly might lose a steady boarder in the near future. D. James Loughridge, in some manner, got tangled up with the overhead shafting in his blacksmith shop last Saturday, and the result might of proven quite serious. The belt had slipped from one of the pulleys and "Jim" was endeavoring to replace it. and was struck with such force as to throw him to the floor, receiving nu merous slight bruises, but none, of a serious nature. James Manners, our genial mail car rier, experienced quite a serious time last Monday morning, when his team became a little anxious to make the daily trip and started before "Jim" had made complete preparations. Holmes, who has been quite sick for some time, has just ended a very serious week, but at this time is gaining quite rapidly, and if she continues to improve for the next few days, Mr. Holmes will take her to Colorado, where she expects to regain her health. They will depart the forepart of next week, first stopping at Red Cloud, Neb., from there to Greeley, and on to Tueblo. We cer tainly trust as do the many friends of this community, that Mrs. Holmes may be greatly benefitted by the trip. in conversation with a number of Murray citizens we find that many of them are desirous of seeing new side walks placed around town in the vari ous sections where they are badly needed. One party with whom we talked said that he firmly believed that if a start was made most every one would follow. The Main street walks, in many places are in a very dilapidated condition, and very dan gerous to travel upon. We believe it would be a good plan for all to make a united effort to at least lay new walks where they are needed on Main street. Wanted !
