Howard J. liogers, director of con-
gretses, who Introduced President
Francis of the exposition as tho tem
porary chairman. President Francis
welcomed tho dolega'es on behalf of
the exposlMon management and said
that all the conventions held at the
exposition had confined their delibera
tions to special lines of thought or ac.

William Ramsey of London thanked
the exposition for the hospitality with
